We were very pleased with the initial consultation and the time spent to review our options, what we could afford, and how the process would work. We really appreciate the responsiveness of the team throughout the process.
One piece of constructive feedback my husband and I would have had was to prepare us more for the closing process in terms of explaining what a hybrid closing would entail. For first-time homebuyers, it was not ideal to review the documents at home and we would have preferred to review them in-person with an expert. We had many questions and we were surprised when we were told so close to closing that this would be occurring. We felt that we did not have ample time to review the documents with our work schedules, and it was very intimidating as first-time buyers. There were many pieces that we didn't understand and it would have been more empowering to be talked through the documents in person. We were kind of made to feel like we would be inconveniencing the team if we chose a traditional closing and that we would be seen as difficult if we chose that. We had both planned on an 1+ hour closing so we would have just preferred that everything was traditional and that we had more of a choice in the matter.
