Bernie was great. The overall experience was very stressful due to the amount of excess paperwork, proof, and hassle that the underwriters required. Bernie helped us navigate the paperwork and get the house we wanted at terms we could afford and that the sellers would accept. His fast and experienced service made the difference between us getting approved and getting the house of our dreams and missing out completely. Bernie was available after hours and worked harder than I have seen most professionals in his field work. He is a true asset to the company. If it weren’t for Bernie there were times I would have just given up on the loan process because of the extreme amount of excess paperwork and short timeline requirements that the underwriting team required. My advice is that people on the frontline of loans providing excellent service and initial loan set-ups like Bernie should get a significant boost in pay if they haven’t already because they bear the brunt of an inefficient system that makes ridiculous requests and requirements of those wanting to take a loan out. People like Bernie make loans happen despite all of the red-tape and unpleasantness involved because they work hard and care about their clients.
